Ontario is Canada's most populous province and 2nd-largest in size. Some of Ontario's major manufacturing capabilities include mining, forest products, chemicals, iron, steel, food, electrical appliances, machinery, and motor vehicles. In-fact in 2004, Ontario surpassed Michigan in car production! Not surprisingly, ice hockey is popular in Ontario. The province also has professional basketball, baseball, football, lacrosse, and soccer teams. Ontario is famous for maple syrup, peaches, Persian rolls, butter tarts, pickerel (fish), burnt-end egg rolls, and "beaver tails" which are whole wheat hand-stretched pastries placed afloat in a deep fryer then topped with a variety of options. Northern Ontario is known for producing purple amethyst along with native silver. Popular attractions include of course Niagara Falls which is said to be better from the Canadian side. Other natural wonders include Flowerpot Island, the Dark Sky Preserve, Ouimet Canyon, and The Grotto (large sea cave). Ontario cities near most of our training and consulting work are shown below.
