Located between the Everglades and Atlantic Ocean, Miami began and grew based on citrus production protected from freezing that infrequently hindered cities in northern Florida. As Miami developed, its warm climate attracted migrants from northern cities. |
Connection of railway and Miami's military significance in WWII fueled continued growth. Being such a popular tourist destination, Miami offers a huge selection of entertainment options students enjoy after training. Take time to sample local Floribbean cuisine, visit a beach, and swim in the ocean if you like. Popular attractions include Wynwood Walls, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Miami Zoo, Bayside Marketplace, and Dolphin Mall.
