About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. New York students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, New York students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

New York students improve their knowledge of the psychology and physiology contributing to human error. Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

New York

Empire City - The Big Apple

Excellent choice! New York City (NYC) is known for many things such as immigration, landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Broadway theaters, and skyscrapers. NYC's early history interesting left a solid foundation for skyscrapers. Thousands of years ago, the advance and retreat of a 2,000 ft thick ice sheet left bedrock at a shallow depth. The area also possessed advantages of being a coastal site fed by a wide river full of fish. Trapping and fur trading evolved into a settlement. Additional settlers were attracted with land. Freedom of the Press was born. International trade developed and immigration continued. The Erie Canal connected the Atlantic port to wider interior markets via the Hudson River and Great Lakes. The subway opened. Skyscrapers rose. UN's headquarters were built. Art flourished. And NYC became and remains a global hub of commerce specializing interestingly in niche areas like chocolate, leader of sectors including fashion, finance, education, media / entertainment, and medicine, and excellent city to host MBBC Human Error Prevention Training.

Very practical (less academic); useful presentation of the material. Previous trainers presented GD&T in a dry manner. MBBC's presentation style was fun and engaging with great explanations.
