Columbus and Xenia Railroads were built and expanded. Ohio's Statehouse was completed. WWII demand attracted Appalachian migrants. Downtown was revitalized with high-rises and a convention center. Meanwhile, Columbus developed several entertainment options for enjoyment after training being home to many parks, festivals, landmarks, and museums, plus a zoo and aquarium. Perhaps the most popular of these is the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.
