About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. Atlanta students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, Atlanta students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

Atlanta students improve their knowledge of the psychology and physiology contributing to human error. Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

Atlanta

Gate City

Excellent choice! Atlanta was founded as the terminus of the Western and Atlantic Railroad which evolved into a convergence of many railroads. As the city grew it became Georgia's capital. Educational institutions such as Georgia Tech developed. Several skyscrapers were built. Public housing was demolished and remaining residents were required to either work or be enrolled in work-related educational programs under consequence of eviction for non-compliance. Air travel became an important part of the economy. IT, and film production expanded. Meanwhile, Atlanta also developed culturally offering many entertainment options to enjoy after Human Error Prevention Training. Most popular are the Georgia Aquarium, and Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

Our Master Black Belt introduced improved quality and manufacturing processes. Our company was moving to become ISO certified. He and I, plus one other, came from the automotive side and certified in ISO. Further, we had QS experience which was a more concentrated standard to allow all automotive companies to work to the same quality and manufacturing standard. He was also familiar with TS quality standards.

Energy

I had the pleasure of working with our Master Black Belt at our energy tech firm. There, he created an internal mentorship and training program to teach lean/six sigma concepts. The training was made available to employees spread both horizontally and vertically throughout the organization. Executives, managers, assemblers and receptionists alike were soon finding and eliminating waste within their workday. This divide-and-conquer philosophy in executing the continuous improvement program was not only an incredibly efficient way to find and implement cost savings, but also created a culture of empowerment within our organization. Our MBB encouraged all of his students to use these techniques to add value to the organization, in-turn making them more valuable employees.
