About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. Boston students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, Boston students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

Boston students improve their knowledge of the psychology and physiology contributing to human error. Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

Excellent choice! Boston generated our country's first lighthouse, public beach, subway, Dunkin' Donuts, and chocolate factory. Otherwise, when seeking things to do after Human Error Prevention Training remember that the city is famous for the Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Fenway Park, Cambridge, and pizza.

Our Master Black Belt Instructor was instrumental in getting my department to change the way we think. Achieving success in Lean methods sometimes needs an overhaul of conventional methods and our MBB was the person that can take the concept from an abstract form to reality in the most efficient way possible. The Lean Six Sigma projects that our department conducted helped us reduce costs and streamline our operations.
