About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. Tampa students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, Tampa students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

Tampa students improve their knowledge of the psychology and physiology contributing to human error. Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

Tampa

Cigar City

Excellent choice! Possessing no natural gold or silver, Florida and Tampa's general allure, inhabitation, and settlement revolved around fruits of the sea, phosphate, and cigars. Connection to the nation's railway system spurred Tampa's further growth including importation of Cuban tobacco and cigars. Now, prominent economic factors include Finance, retail, healthcare, insurance, shipping, defense, sports, tourism, and real estate resulting in a fun context for our Tampa Human Error Prevention Training Center. Local attractions include Busch Gardens, and the Florida Aquarium.
