Who is Lean Lego Game for?
Since we all deal with and use processes in some form both at work and home, Lean Manufacturing training is useful for everybody. Yet, its usually taken by Chicago students working in manufacturing or service provision. In our course, Chicago students learn:
Lean Lego Game Course Overview:
Rather than death by PowerPoint, experience waste, push vs. pull processes, kanban, kaizen, systems thinking, and work cells in a fun exercise. This workshop is intended for students fairly early in their Lean journey but can be a fun refresher for more advanced practitioners. It can be run in either a short or longer session which never goes past half-day. A typical day looks like this:

Since its beginning, the area connected local watersheds with navigable waterways of the Mississippi River and Great Lakes. The the Illinois and Michigan Canal opened. Chicago became the nation's railroad center, and by 1910 over 20 railroads operated passenger service out of 6 different downtown terminals. WWII spurred manufacturing especially steel production. Universities and an airport were built. Now, Chicago has the largest number of highways and greatest amount of railroad freight in the US, and one of the busiest airports in the world. By population, Chicago is 3rd largest in the US and #1 in Illinois. So, if you get bored in Chicago, then the problem is on your end. Options include Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, an Architecture River Cruise, Millennium Park, Cloud Gate, museums, some of the most unique (and expensive) shopping in the world, and more!
