Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Training Course Overview:

Value Stream Mapping training enables Nashville students to visually summarize processes highlighting their waste, and opportunities for improvement. Value Stream Mapping is an essential tool of Lean Manufacturing. 'Value stream' refers to the fact that the mapping is depicting the process flow by which raw materials, information, etc. are altered and combined forming something for which customers are willing to pay. Along the way, any actions for which customers are not willing to pay are considered waste and highlighted on the map. Wastes generally take the form of downtime, inventory, inspection, etc.; manifestations of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Music City

Excellent choice! Nashville's location and function as a port on the Cumberland River enabled growth. Country music has long-been integral to the city's economy. Healthcare, and automotive production are also prominent. After Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Training, the best things to do in Nashville are visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame, or Ryman Auditorium. See a show at the Grand Ole Opry. Try some Goo Goo Clusters.

This course was very useful and practical, it uses examples that both challenge and compel the student. The experience and expertise of MBBC's instructor in the subject matter result in a classroom environment that marries fundamental pedagogy to the real world; and it includes the advantage of a better understanding of GD&T across diverse teams for their desired application(s). Here, we were able to identify areas of improvement both individually and within our organization. Thank you, it was a great experience.

When I attended MBBC's 5S Training, I did not know what to expect. I went into it with an open mind and was presently surprised. While I was listening to the presentation I imagined all the ways I could apply the training to my facility. The class was upbeat and engaging and the instructor referenced real world examples to connect with issues we face every day. I left the training inspired and eager to apply what I learned to my facility. I would recommend the 5S Training to anyone who is looking improve their efficiency in manufacturing.
