About Confined Space Training

Who is Confined Space Training for?

Employers are required by law to provide a safe and healthy workplace for their employees so must be aware of all confined spaces in their work environment. Before assigning employees to work in a confined space, employers must train and test them for competence / knowledge of this topic. Additional CPR and first aid certification is required for rescue team members. In our course, Tampa students learn:

Confined Space Training Course Overview:

Confined space training protects Tampa students, their peers, families, and friends from injury in small, occupiable, restricted-egress spaces. Such spaces can become dangerous traps tending to accumulate harmful gases, fumes, or other materials or hazards that may arrest and injure or kill you. OSHA uses the term "permit-required confined space" (permit space) to describe a confined space that has one or more of the following characteristics: contains or has the potential to contain a hazardous atmosphere; contains material that has the potential to engulf an entrant; has walls that converge inward or floors that slope downward and taper into a smaller area which could trap or asphyxiate an entrant; or contains any other recognized safety or health hazard, such as unguarded machinery, exposed live wires, or heat stress.

Our 1-day training topics include:

Key elements of OSHA's Permit-Required Confined Spaces Regulation (29 CFR 1910.146).

Requirements for developing and maintaining a confined space entry program.

Confined spaces concepts and terminology including what determines whether a confined space requires a permit for entry.

Tampa

Cigar City

Excellent choice! Possessing no natural gold or silver, Florida and Tampa's general allure, inhabitation, and settlement revolved around fruits of the sea, phosphate, and cigars. Connection to the nation's railway system spurred Tampa's further growth including importation of Cuban tobacco and cigars. Now, prominent economic factors include Finance, retail, healthcare, insurance, shipping, defense, sports, tourism, and real estate resulting in a fun context for our Tampa Confined Space Training Center. Local attractions include Busch Gardens, and the Florida Aquarium.

Our Master Black Belt introduced improved quality and manufacturing processes. Our company was moving to become ISO certified. He and I, plus one other, came from the automotive side and certified in ISO. Further, we had QS experience which was a more concentrated standard to allow all automotive companies to work to the same quality and manufacturing standard. He was also familiar with TS quality standards.
