About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. Students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, Texas students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

The Lone Star State - Don't Mess With Texas

Each possesses its own advantages. For example, Houston is an excellent opportunity to network with oil and gas professionals. Combined, the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex is a massive area full of aerospace companies. The US Postal Service also has a substantial presence in Dallas. Austin is a fun city with mostly tech. San Antonio is a famous Toyota location. Although perhaps less known, HEB is huge there along with several banks. Galveston is cool because it's on the Gulf Coast. And some of our classes sail from there on cruise ships. Yep, you read that right. Check it out. Texan cuisine is founded on BBQ, chicken fried steak, chili, fried okra, tex mex, brisket tacos, tortilla soup, Dr. Pepper, frozen margaritas, and pecan pie. Consider a native blue topaz souvenir with stones harvested exclusively from Mason County streambeds and ravines.
