About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. Dallas students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, Dallas students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

Dallas students improve their knowledge of the psychology and physiology contributing to human error. Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

Petroleum was discovered around Dallas establishing the city as a market hub. Communications, Engineering and manufacturing evolved from WWII. City inventions include the Superbowl, and frozen margarita machine. Local foods include BBQ, Mexican, Tex-Mex, and margaritas. MBBC's instructor is a true gem in the industry! Not only was he engaging (no one fell asleep, that really says something), his industry knowledge is current and even surpasses the industry standards for accuracy, clarity, and understanding in the GD&T space. From this course, I discovered how much GD&T exposure I have had as a Biomedical Engineer working in Quality, and it also gave me the framework I need to finally move into design and product development. I am looking forward to taking more courses with MBB Consulting.

Great training exercise. I really liked the course material. We went through lots of slightly complicated concepts with easy to understand examples. Like the group activities in between. I certainly would recommend everyone to take this course. Thanks.
