About Machine Condition Signature Analysis Training

Who is Machine Condition Signature Analysis Training for?

Machine Condition Signature Analysis training is for anybody interested in lowering the downtime of their machines. In our course, Jackson students learn:

Machine Condition Signature Analysis Training Course Overview:

MCSA training describes Machine Condition Signature Analysis - saving Jackson students money by replacing unplanned failure with preventive maintenance. Machine Condition Signature Analysis (MCSA) is similar to Statistical Process Control. A gage (accelerometer) is used to take a snapshot of a machine's "normal" performance (i.e. record its "signature"). Specifically, signatures are usually collected for each of the machines high-wear components; motors, pumps, etc. Periodic measurements are then taken over time to assess deviation from normal. When deviation reaches a defined threshold, the machine is scheduled for preventive maintenance. As such, Machine Condition Signature Analysis improves operational profitability. It pays for itself in the form of lower total maintenance cost and higher uptime.

Jackson

Chimneyville - The City with Soul

Excellent choice! Jackson was established as a trade route village on the Pearl River connect to markets in Tennessee and travel from New Orleans. It was chosen to serve as the state's capital due to being the most habitable central location, beautiful surroundings, potable and navigable water, and timber. Road and railway connections were made to adjacent cities. Saloons, casinos, and Blues music flourished. Riverboat gaming followed. Legal and medical excellence evolved notably at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Levees and a canal system were built. Now, Jackson is home to several major industries including electrical equipment, processed food, and metal products. Surrounding areas remain agriculturally-focused including livestock, soybeans, cotton, and poultry. Jackson offers many after-class entertainment options such as the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, Jackson Zoological Park, and LeFleur's Bluff State Park.

I had the pleasure of working with our Master Black Belt in a high-tech manufacturing company where formal continuous improvement was a new concept. I was impressed with his ability to translate the concepts and skills needed to start down the path of the discipline in a way that was not only accessible to the employees, but excited them and moved many of them into being active, positive participants. I saw an immediate improvement in overall engagement, which helped in areas well beyond the tactical and functional areas included in the improvement project, itself.
