About Confined Space Training

Who is Confined Space Training for?

Employers are required by law to provide a safe and healthy workplace for their employees so must be aware of all confined spaces in their work environment. Before assigning employees to work in a confined space, employers must train and test them for competence / knowledge of this topic. Additional CPR and first aid certification is required for rescue team members. In our course, Nevada students learn:

Confined Space Training Course Overview:

Such spaces can become dangerous traps tending to accumulate harmful gases, fumes, or other materials or hazards that may arrest and injure or kill you. OSHA uses the term "permit-required confined space" (permit space) to describe a confined space that has one or more of the following characteristics: contains or has the potential to contain a hazardous atmosphere; contains material that has the potential to engulf an entrant; has walls that converge inward or floors that slope downward and taper into a smaller area which could trap or asphyxiate an entrant; or contains any other recognized safety or health hazard, such as unguarded machinery, exposed live wires, or heat stress.

Our 1-day training topics include:

The Silver State - Battle Born

Since the Comstock Lode and other major finds, Nevada has become America's largest silver producer. Affiliations include the mountain bluebird, bristlecone pine trees, sagebrush, and desert bighorn sheep. The slot machine was invented in Nevada. So, its no surprise that casinos are common along with wild mustangs, mountains, and vast expanses of desert. Hard hats were also invented here. Nevadan cuisine is unique thanks to chateaubriand and paella. Shop for native black fire opal.
