Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Training Course Overview:

Value Stream Mapping training enables Pittsburgh students to visually summarize processes highlighting their waste, and opportunities for improvement. Value Stream Mapping is an essential tool of Lean Manufacturing. 'Value stream' refers to the fact that the mapping is depicting the process flow by which raw materials, information, etc. are altered and combined forming something for which customers are willing to pay. Along the way, any actions for which customers are not willing to pay are considered waste and highlighted on the map. Wastes generally take the form of downtime, inventory, inspection, etc.; manifestations of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Pittsburgh

Iron City - America's Most Livable City

Excellent choice! Pittsburgh Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Training occurs in western Pennsylvania at the point where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers combine to form the Ohio River. Its Gilded Age sites including Carnegie Museums of Natural History and Art, plus Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens speak to its history as an industrial center. Make time to visit Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and Point State Park. Also popular is the city view from Mount Washington especially while riding the Duquesne Incline.

I had an excellent and memorable experience of attending Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt training from a professional trainer, coach and industry expert who was hired by our organization to help with the transformation of company processes. Our Master Black Belt was not only knowledgeable in the subject but also had several years of hands-on experience working on complex projects, solving problems, applying and implementing Lean and Six Sigma techniques. His teaching skills were exceptional making it easy for everyone to clearly understand the concepts. He brought energy and motivation in the workforce and quickly won praise, recognition and respect from management, staff and shop floor employees. His knowledge transfer, coaching, and guidance helped improve several key processes and resulted in significant improvement in company KPIs and customer satisfaction level. I highly recommend him for his remarkable skills, knowledge, passion, and professional approach towards process and business excellence.
