About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. Denver students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, Denver students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

Denver students improve their knowledge of the psychology and physiology contributing to human error. Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

Denver

Mile High City

Excellent choice! Denver truly a mile above sea level, home to a US mint, and has a capital building adorned with onyx and domed with real gold. The city was founded as a gold rush mining settlement. Rail and an overland wagon route supported growth. An opera house and hotels were built. Carnations were cultivated. Various types of manufacturing have flowed through Denver including luggage, automotive belts, furniture polish, and construction products. The city has also grown culturally offering interesting activities for after Human Error Prevention Training. Most popular are Denver Botanic Gardens, Mount Evans, and Denver Union Station.

When I attended MBBC's 5S Training, I did not know what to expect. I went into it with an open mind and was presently surprised. While I was listening to the presentation I imagined all the ways I could apply the training to my facility. The class was upbeat and engaging and the instructor referenced real world examples to connect with issues we face every day. I left the training inspired and eager to apply what I learned to my facility. I would recommend the 5S Training to anyone who is looking improve their efficiency in manufacturing.

I had already had exposure to FMEA prior to this class, but I was still able to take away elements that will be immediately applicable to my work. Our MBBC instructor listened to the comments and questions with patience and understanding , and helped get everyone on the same page.
